Canada Student Loan Process Application

Your Canada Student Loan is included in your B.C. Student Loan application.  If your loan is approved, the following process will occur if all documents are completed in a timely manner.

1.   Loan Agreement

a.   Loan Agreement is sent to the Registrar’s Office.

b.   Once your full time course load is confirmed, the loan document will be sent to your campus’s Financial Aid Officer or Educational Advisor.

c.    Check with the Financial Aid Officer or Educational Advisor for more information. d.   Read documents thoroughly.

e.   With 2 pieces of ID and banking information, bring the loan agreement to Canada Post Office.

f.    Sign the loan agreement in front of Postal Agent.

g.   Postal Agent will send loan agreement to National Student Loan Service Centre.

2.  Canada Student Loan

a.   National Student Loan Service Centre will deposit your loan $ in your bank account or send the funds directly to the college.

3.  Canada Student Grant

a.   If you are receiving a grant, the Financial Aid Officer or Educational Advisor will have you sign a receipt and give you the cheque, once you provide ID.
